There is no real method to the madness and this page represents little more than a random assortment of photos.

All the Miller boys. Milwaukee, WI.
With my great uncle Italo on his 100th birthday! (He lived to be 104 and I miss him greatly, though he will always remain close in my heart and memory). Piacenza, Italy.

Making friends in Istanbul, Turkey. That's not my money she's wearing.
My favorite group of guys that I ever skated with. Can you spot the goon? (First row, third from right.) Phoenix, AZ.

My niece, Avery (17 mths), wishing I would put down the camera and take her outside. Boston, MA.
Night of Barry Bond's 600th homerun.
San Francisco's PacBell Ballpark.

The screaming 1960 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite. I call it the legal go-cart. Not too shabby for a 49-year-old car. This car has been completely modified and is really quite quick and nimble which comes in handy when one is dodging tourists in SUVs. Cape Cod, MA.
My 1989 Saab 900 SPG (aka, "The Beast from the East"). It's been totally gutted and now serves as a dedicated track car. Phoenix, AZ.

Trying out my new commuter bike. It's great on gas and parking is a snap! San Jose, CA.
Saab onboard security system. Bosco, the backseat prowler, and Daisy riding shotgun. San Jose, CA.

Avery (20mths) enjoying a fall day in the park. Boston, MA
Heading out to do some scuba diving. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Taking time to enjoy the scenery. Portofino, Italy.
With my nieces Allyssa and Elena at my sister Claire's wedding reception. Indianapolis, IN.

Bosco and Daisy send their season's greetings.
Taking a stroll with Avery on Thanksgiving day, 2003. Boston, MA.

My father and mother on a visit to the Botanical Gardens. Phoenix, AZ.
With my Mom during a visit to see me at graduate school. She loves this picture because, as she puts it, "We both look so goofy!" College Station, TX.

A great shot of Bosco the eating, shedding machine. College Station, TX.
I've had people say that Daisy looks mean which makes me laugh given that she is perhaps the most loveable and social black lab/shepherd mix in existence. College Station, TX.

A friend was so enamored with Daisy that she designed a bowl for her. San Jose, CA.
My brother Kevin with Avery after swimming in Frog Pond. Boston, MA.

Happiness is more pumpkins than one can count and being able to wear a Red Sox cap with pride. I was at Fenway Park with Avery in the summer of '04 and am pleased to say that it only took her about 2 hours to pick out this hat from the countless varieties offered. Boston, MA.
Here's a shot from the Miller archives and represents me (a face only a mother could love) with my brothers Kevin and David (not shown are Stephen, Mark, Janet, and Claire). I still wear that trendy shirt on occasion though it doesn't fit me as well as it used to. New York, NY.

The 2004 Xmas card from my brother Kevin with the apt passage inside "May all your holiday wishes come true". I especially like the way he was able to put a baseball inside Avery's hand.

I know, I know, another car? Is this guy nuts? This is my 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen that only has 450 horsepower (not bad for a 4-cylinder!) but yet consistently obtains 23 miles per gallon overall. This car is both extremely comfortable and fast (Check out the third gear acceleration.) and is rather rare given that only 20 Laser Red (What one of my brothers has called "Arrest Me Red".) coupes were produced in 2001. I occasionally take a lot of grief for having so many cars but I really don't understand what the big deal is given that I know plenty of people with more than one child and at least my cars are all well behaved. Santa Clara, CA.

Demonstrating yet again that 3-year-olds are seldom at a loss for energy. "Hey Uncle Michael, watch me!" Martha's Vineyard, MA.
A little bedtime reading before lights out. Martha's Vineyard, MA.
She's always one to embrace the latest fashion trend. Boston, MA.
Becoming a godfather for the fourth time (what's the record anyway?) and hanging out with my main man, Ashton. Cape Cod, MA.
Here's Avery's pre-K photo. Boston, Ma.
Besides catching up on my reading, one of my favorite weekend pastimes is working on my cars. Believe it or not, they actually went back together! Sacramento, CA
Getting ready to go out for dinner and view the Fourth of July fireworks from the Boston Common. Boston, MA.
Here's my newest nephew, Dominic, at 5-months of age. Indianapolis, IN.
Here's a few more shots of the Bugeye after having it shipped from Cape Cod, MA to San Jose, CA. I'm forever amazed how many people will stop to chat with me whenever I take this car anywhere.
While it admittedly won't be a contender for any independent film awards at next year's Cannes Film
Festival, this is my first (humble) contribution to YouTube.

Here's a video (AVI - 7.86mb) of one of the original marketing ads for the Bugeye filmed at Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit in the late 1950s. You'll 'experience for yourself the Sprite's splendid performance' and realize why 'You'll never tire of driving the Sprite.' I say old boy, jolly good show!

The mighty A-series engine! Actually, this engine (a 1380cc minicomp) has been highly modified (i.e., performance pistons, race cams, ported/polished aluminum head, etc.) and is supported by a Weber 45 DCOE carburetor, K&N air filter, Winner's Circle street headers, aluminum radiator, electronic ignition with blaster coil, etc. As such, it is no slacker. Consider the fact that the stock configuration only produced 46 horsepower whereas this one is rated at 120 horsepower; that's an improvement of 160%. True, the number itself is not particularly impressive but one doesn't need a lot of power to move a car that weighs less than 1,500 pounds. In brief, the car is extremely quick and respectably fast. Not to worry as the brake system and suspension are all dialed in as well as may be evidenced in this picture by the triple master cylinder.

A friend once asked me why I spent so much time working on this car so I borrowed the famous quip from George Leigh Mallory (who perished in 1924 on Mount Everest) in response to a journalists question as to why he sought to climb Everest: "Because it's there."

Sometimes even rainy days can be fun! Boston, MA.
Austin-Healey bonnets make excellent doghouses! Sacramento, CA.
Riding the ferry past the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Australia.
Not exactly roughing it but who am I to complain? Bangkok, Thailand.
Inside the main temple of Angkor Wat. This place is absolutely magistic and I simply couldn't begin to capture its grandeur with my feeble camera and photographic abilities. Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Break time at the local market. Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Tuk-tuks are an efficient (and cheap!) way to get around. Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Halloween 2008. My brother, Kevin, proving once more that dedicated fathers go to great lengths to become part of the lives of their children. A couple of years ago Avery stopped by John Kerry's home on Halloween. One of his aides gave her a family size 3 Musketeers candy bar. It looked rather funny to see a very small child holding a huge candy bar at which point Kevin quipped "All she ever got from Bush was a $4 trillion deficit". Made me laugh!! Boston, MA.
Only two baseballs? Not a bad outing at a game in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the home of the Red Sox's farm team.
This is Uli ('noble leader'), a black German Shepherd that I adopted from a local animal shelter in the fall of 2009. He has a most wonderful disposition which is a good thing because he is incredibly strong!
